The Griff Magazine Redesign

This project was done for the class DESN 317 Publication Design with Constanza Pacher. The brief of this project was to redesign MacEwan's magazine “The Griff” into our own interpretations. My approach to the design was to develop spreads that utilized the negative space to add a layout that read minimal while empowering it with a simple colour palette and typeface. This issue of The Griff had articles that were serious such as “BIPOC and the Fashion Industry” that influenced my design choices. This was a fun project to work on as it gave me a further understanding of how to develop proper publication spreads for a magazine.
